  • Whitehaven: Flood waters lapped at the doorsills of many historic homes in the National Register district, and washed through the first floors of a few structures on the waterfront, including the Edward Kenney House (WI-190). There appeared to be little wind damage beyond some downed trees.

  • Salisbury: Elizabeth Ragan reports flooding in Salisbury was minimal, affecting only low-lying areas of downtown that flood on a fairly regular basis during major storms.

  • ~~~~~ September 25, 2003 ~~~~~

  • Pemberton Hall Foundation: Beth Ragan reports no damage to the building or collections. Rail fences were destroyed by wind and are being rebuilt. Wharf was not damaged even though it was underwater.

  • Thorton 17th Century Archeological Site: Beth Ragan reports site was not affected by storm surge; no damage.

  • ~~~~~ September 23, 2003 ~~~~~

  • Salisbury: It is unclear whether the storm surge reached this far upriver. Details should be available on Tuesday.

  • White Haven: Storm surge presumably caused flooding along the historic waterfront.
