Join Governor Martin O'Malley, the Office of Archeology, the Archeological Society of Maryland, Inc., the Council for Maryland Archeology, and dozens of other organizations and individuals in a statewide celebration of Maryland's archeological heritage! Each year, the Governor proclaims Maryland Archeology Month. Events are held almost every day throughout the state, including archeological digs open to visitors, archeology talks, demonstrations and films, exhibits of archeological finds, and special events at museums like St. Mary's City and Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (see the on-line Calendar of Events). A poster and other printed materials are available on request; to request copies, or for more information, contact the Office of Archeology at 410-514-7650.
